Arcam Radia Series Launch Event

Arcam launch their new Radia Series components at The Vinyl Factory, London.

3rd October 2023, London: The Unilet Sound & Vision team were invited, along with many other retailers and audio industry figures, to experience the global launch of the new ARCAM Radia Series of Hi-Fi components at The Vinyl Factory in Central London.

Initially, the Radia Series consists of five components: A5, A15, A25, CD5 and ST5.

The A5, the A15, and the A25 are all integrated amplifiers with Bluetooth capability. CD5 is a high-quality CD Player capable of playing CD / CD-R / CD-RW discs, plus FLAC / WAV files from either disc or the built-in USB port, while ST5 is a fully-featured Streamer, Roon-Ready, with support for all major platforms.

The A5 and A15 amplifiers are both Class AB, while the top-end A25 uses Class G technology – twice as efficient, and cooler operation. All models allow for wired or wireless connection to headphones (via the built-in Bluetooth) to enable the musical enjoyment to continue at all times.

The ST5 streamer supports almost all smartphones & tablets, plus all popular streaming services. Google Chromecast and Apple Airplay 2 are no problem, and Hi-Res and MQA lovers are also well-catered for. The high-resolution DAC – an ESS ES9018 – features time-domain jitter elimination, meaning perfect sound every time.

Price points for all components are exceptionally affordable, and very competitive for such a fully-featured range:

  • Radia A5 Integrated Amplifier – £ 749 inc-VAT
  • Radia A15 Integrated Amplifier – £ 1099 inc-VAT
  • Radia A25 Integrated Amplifier – £ 1499 inc-VAT
  • Radia CD5 CD Player – £ 699 inc-VAT
  • Radia ST5 Streamer – £ 799 inc-VAT

The launch event showcased all the Radia components, with excellent demonstrations using a variety of musical genres, all of which were handled with ease.

Besides very welcome cocktails and canapés, attendees were also treated to live performances from several emerging artists ,including solo singer-songwriter Natalie Shay, and indie band The Filthy Casuals.

Feedback on the Radia Series has been universally excellent to date, with What HiFi? rating several of the components at 5-Stars, with acclaim for the entire range. Read their reviews here.
