Phono Stages
Also called Phono Preamplifiers or Phono Preamps, the Phono Stage is a dedicated preamplifier which provides the connection between a record player and an amplifier.
The electrical output from record players and turntables is rather weak, and requires additional noise-tolerant amplification before being sent to a power amplifier, and then onto your loudspeakers.
When vinyl was common, phono stages were usually built-in to most amplifiers, however this changed when digital formats became more prevalent. Many amps don’t feature a phonograph input, and so will require a separate phono stage to play vinyl records.
This is just a selection from the many various high-fidelity phono stages available from Unilet Sound & Vision. Please do visit or get in touch to discuss your requirements, or to arrange a demonstration.
