M5xi
Building on the outstanding success of its predecessor, the M5si, the M5xi is a major reinvention of the M5 formula.
The preamp, power amp, digital and phono sections are completely new and now much closer to the legendary Musical Fidelity TITAN power amp topology. In fact, the M5xi now commands the same topology as previously used in the M6si, including all the improvements for the newly released M6xi update, just tuned for less power output.
This makes the TITAN formula accessible at a new price-point as Musical Fidelity pushes to make true high-end amplifiers as affordable as never before.
Enhanced Connectivity
Modern systems demand modern connectivity. The M5xi now features HDMI eARC, allowing effortless integration with TVs and home theatre systems while delivering true high-end stereo performance. Alongside this, new coaxial and optical digital inputs expand connectivity for a wide range of digital sources, complementing the already established high-resolution USB input.
A completely new feature is the high-quality isolated USB power output. Designed as a dedicated, ultra-clean power supply, it allows you to power modern USB streamers directly from the amplifier. The result is simple system integration and a noticeable upgrade in performance for your favourite streaming source.
For professional installations and advanced system control, the M5xi now includes RS232 integration, making it ideal for custom installations and sophisticated home audio systems.
Affordable High-End
The new Musical Fidelity M5xi represents the next evolution of high-end integrated amplification with advanced engineering drawn directly from the MF flagship designs. Built to deliver uncompromising sonic performance, the M5xi merges sophisticated circuitry and meticulous PCB layout with modern connectivity in a design that sets new standards for its class.
The M5xi is tuned for less power output than the M6xi, making it a better candidate for smaller rooms or shorter listening distances. However, you will struggle to find loudspeakers that the M5xi cannot properly and fully drive as the M5xi now commands the same power amplifier topology as the M6si and M6xi.
