With 100 watts per-channel into 6 ohms, plus a generously over-specified power supply, this compact unit is capable of reproducing the scale and drama of any musical performance. Encased in the sleek design of the 40 Series aluminium casing with a 5-inch high-resolution full colour TFT display, 40 AMP has been designed to fit into the modern lifestyle.
Digital Performance
Based upon the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M chipset / HyperStream IV Dual DAC technology, 40 AMP supports up to 32-bit 768 kHz PCM / DSD1024 audio files. Every component has been analysed and fully optimised, tuning the DAC to achieve the highest possible performance.
MM Phono Stage
As well as multiple digital and analogue connections, 40 AMP has a low-noise MM phono stage which inherits many design features from the award-winning Cyrus Classic PHONO. This phono stage performs at a level way above its class, featuring low background noise and high dynamic range, providing the perfect complement for any quality vinyl turntable source.
Power Amplifier
The wide-band power amplifier responds from DC to beyond 100 kHz, ensuring ruler-flat frequency response and keeping any undesirable phase shifts out of the audio band. With a generous, over-specified power supply the power amplifier section is very capable of reproducing the scale and drama of any musical performance.
40 PSU Upgrade
To further enhance the experience and provide the 40 AMP with the best configuration of power, you can easily connect the 40 PSU external power supply to the 40 AMP with a single cable. Providing multiple supplies, all of the output voltages from the 40 PSU are digitally controlled internally, so are extremely stable and virtually noise free.
