Description

Stage 245C

The JBL Stage 245C is a premium centre channel loudspeaker, voiced to blend seamlessly with all other Stage 2 series floor-standing, bookshelf, or even in-wall main speakers.

Stage 245C features a 2.5-way way design with Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, 1-inch (25 mm) anodized aluminium dome tweeter, and quad 4.5-inch (114 mm) polycellulose ribbed cone woofers that provides deep, signature JBL bass.

Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofer

Each speaker in the Stage 2 series features polycellulose ribbed cone woofers – and the Stage 245C has FOUR of them. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass.

Next Generation HDI™ Waveguide

Through intense research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has developed a new complex geometry that improves directivity, reduced diffraction, and an overall neutral frequency response both on and off axis.

The Stage 2 HDI Horn is coupled to an anodized aluminium dome tweeter to enhance efficiency and dynamics.

Precision 2.5-Way Crossover

The 245C centre channel model features a unique two and a half-way crossover design. This unique design crosses over the top woofer right below the tweeter’s output, while the other woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency.

This creates a dynamic mid-range but both woofers still extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass. This produces cohesive balanced output with a robust low end that can be both heard and felt.

JBL

JBL have been powering the world's top musicians, elite athletes and venues for more than seven decades. With JBL you can feel the music.

Founder James B. Lansing got his start innovating sound technology at movie theatres. It was the early 1900s; an era when more than half of Americans went to the movies each week. Cinema was a key way people consumed music. It’s fitting, then, that JBL continues to power many of the world’s cinemas today.

In the 1980s and 1990s, there was an explosion in home theatre audio systems. The prospect of cinema quality sound at home was becoming a reality. Products like the L212, the Everest, and JBL Synthesis were at the cutting-edge.

Since the 2000s, there has been massive changes in the way we consume music. The Sony Walkman and iPod popularised portable music, but JBL took it further. They create headphones and portable speakers that move with you. They’ll survive your sweat session. Your pool party. Even snow and ice. And they are the go-to choice for music pros, including performers, sound engineers and producers.
