BI-200
Bryston integrated amplifiers give no ground to their separate counterparts. Their new BI-200 is literally constructed from the Bryston BP-19 Preamplifier and 3B Power Amplifier, combined into one single chassis. Low THD+N
BI-200 is a by-product of the years of R&D, which resulted in the development of an optimised discrete buffer amplifier capable of delivering a staggeringly low THD+N distortion.
The analogue signal path is a fully balanced design, using an array of very tightly matched components and a compact circuit design to achieve the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection.
Fully Balanced Design
With the new balanced inputs and outputs, Bryston have been able to make significant improvements in performance in the BI-200.
In the past, a fully balanced signal path was difficult to achieve because one would need a volume potentiometer with four tapers. With the availability of new volume control chips, this is no longer an issue.
This new design allows for a lower noise floor than previous designs and is much better at common mode noise suppression. For the music enthusiast, this level of circuit sophistication means more life-like performances, more detail and more dimensionality from the recordings you love.
