The new E1.2 represents a re-focus onto what made Pro-Ject great in the first place. The company reputation was first built on being the ideal first-step hi-fi turntable, and in a market that is increasingly overloaded, E1.2 delivers a turntable that offers easy set-up, great sound and stylish looks for an affordable price.
E1.2 boasts a new 730-gram die-cast aluminium platter, a Pro-Ject Pick it MM E cartridge on a new improved tonearm headshell, built-in speed control plus a quality solid wood chassis available in three stylish finishes.
This is the ideal solution for the multitude of customers who have amplifiers or active speakers with built-in phono stages.
Die-Cast Aluminium Platter
The ABS polymer main platter of the original E1 model has been updated with a newly-designed aluminium version. This creates an ideal, anti-resonant platform for your vinyl.
To guarantee perfect playback, the platter is reworked and precision-balanced in an extra step to obtain an evenly spinning surface. This significant upgrade not only improves rotational stability but also enhances the overall acoustic performance by minimizing unwanted vibrations and resonance.
The additional mass of the aluminium helps maintain consistent speed and provides a more solid foundation for the vinyl, allowing the stylus to track with greater accuracy.
Premium Pick-it MM E Cartridge
The phono cartridge is one of the most sound-forming and sonically critical part of a turntable, transforming the physical grooves of a record into an electrical signal, which determines the base quality of the music playback.
The pre-fitted Pick it MM E uses a low mass system which is realized with a miniature neodymium generator magnet. Due to the lower inertia the result is a clear improvement of tracking accuracy.
The conical diamond tip delivers a warm and smooth high quality audio reproduction with low background noise. The highly damped ABS body effectively reduces vibration induced colourations to a vanishing level.
Precision Tonearm
The tonearm of the E1.2 is crafted to deliver exceptional performance right out of the box, expertly adjusted at the factory, so you are ready to play right away. No tools, no guesswork – plug in and go.
At the tonearm core is a heavy mass gimbal design, offering solid tracking and great sound stability. The precision bearing system with zero play means smooth movement and clean sound.
Pro-Ject have added a carbon-reinforced, super-stiff head shell to reduce vibrations. The oversized diameter counterweight is placed closer to the moving parts, improving balance and tracking for better detail and bass response.
