K6 Signature

Using a similar tall, slim cabinet to the original K6 model, the ProAc K6 Signature is otherwise different in many ways.

The drive unit layout has been reorganised to place the ribbon tweeter at ear level, when seated, plus an additional ProAc three-inch midrange driver, as opposed to the two-inch variant used in the original K6.

Drivers

The three-inch midrange gives better detail and crosses over to obtain a seamless transition from low to mid frequencies.

The new ProAc three-inch dome has a taller aluminium wave guide with a special vented chamber at the rear.

The bass drivers are now sited at the top and bottom of the layout, helping to extend the bass response and providing K6 Signature with an almost electrostatic-type sound.

Cabinets

The ProAc K6 Signature cabinet is a traditional mixture of variable thickness HDF, damped with bitumen, up to 35mm thick in places.

The combination of carbon fibre & Kevlar have produced a stunningly accurate and detailed loudspeaker. Sound is reproduced effortlessly with incredible detail and pinpoint imagery – which often can be muddled by other conventional units.

K Series

All K Series loudspeakers provide beautiful cabinets with beautiful sounds, using cutting-edge technology.

The ProAc K series range of speakers are so-called because Kevlar is used in the construction of their drive units.

So far ProAc have only used Kevlar and Carbon Fibre for the reproduction of bass and lower midrange in large enclosures. K series cones have a light, stiff quality, and the Kevlar has more warmth, thus making excellent bass transients and extension.

Finish

The ProAc K6 Signature is shown above in Rosewood veneer finish. Please note that all natural wood finishes may vary in grain and shade.

However, ProAc do not currently supply images of their loudspeakers in ALL available finishes, so we have created these swatches to help illustrate the possibilities of their range.
