Soundbars
Soundbars are a relatively recent development in home audio, and have grown in both popularity and complexity alongside developments in smart televisions.
All soundbars contain multiple loudspeakers, plus amplification, which makes them a kind of active speaker. They have a long, slim form factor, and are designed to be positioned below, or above (and in some cases, under) your television, monitor or screen. Some can be wall-mounted and all can placed upon a suitable media cabinet.
Because soundbars contain multiple speaker drive units – including centre speakers, side-firing speakers and vertically-firing speakers – they are able to create a very good surround sound experience for home cinema, whilst only taking up minimal space in your living room.
